DayZ may not launch on Valve Portable Steam Deck Console
Valve boasts an extensive library of Steam Deck, which has inherited a lot of compatible games from the PC.
However, not all of them will work on a portable console. According to the developers of DayZ, their open-world survival shooter can bypass the owners of the Steam Deck.
On Twitter, one of DayZ fans directly asked Bohemia Interactive about Steam Deck support, to which the developers replied about the "unlikely" possibility of such an outcome. The studio staff did not name the reasons for such a decision.
Perhaps DayZ is not compatible with Battleye, or the developers are simply not sure that the portable console has enough power for stable operation of the game. It is worth recalling that the Bohemia Interactive project has never been characterized by perfect optimization and could cause problems when running on sufficiently powerful stationary PC.
