Nintendo plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Metroid Prime computer video game by releasing a remake of the first part of this series in the second half of 2022. A well-known insider Nate Drake told about this with reference to his sources. Earlier, Jeff Grubb and Emily Rogers shared similar information.

The original Metroid Prime debuted in November 2002 on GameCube and was warmly received by reviewers — its average rating on Metacritic was 97 points out of 100 possible. Journalists praised the high-quality transfer of the concept of metroidvania in 3D and adaptation to the first-person view. Subsequently, the game received two sequels, and the third is being created for the Nintendo Switch and has no release dates yet.

According to Nate Drake, this year [of the unannounced games from Nintendo], a new part of Fire Emblem, developed by the authors of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, will also appear on Switch. The insider noted that the creators have completely figured out the engine, so they will release a better product from a technical point of view — with fewer graphic roughness. The game should offer some new mechanics. The insider himself predicts its appearance in the summer of 2022.

Nate Drake added that a three-dimensional remake of the classic Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, originally released more than 25 years ago on Super Nintendo only in Japan, is also being prepared for release on Switch, but most likely will be released only in 2023.

Finally, an insider commented on the fate of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 from Monolith Soft studio. According to him, initially Nintendo planned to introduce the game back in 2021, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed development. Now the novelty is in limbo — there is a chance that it will have time to be sent to store shelves by the end of 2022, if they sort out the existing technical problems and will be able to complete optimization in time. Otherwise, the release should be expected only in 2023.

Also, Naked Drake commented on several games from third-party developers. In particular, he heard that Capcom was working on Resident Evil Revelations 3 for the Nintendo Switch, but does not know what is happening with this project now and when it may come out.

Nate Drake also predicts a remake of The House of the Dead to appear on Switch in March 2022, and Persona 4 Golden by the end of 2022. A port of the fourth Persona is also being announced for PlayStation 4, the informant believes, and he predicts Persona 6 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
