Work on the Metal Omega expansion for Red Alert 2 is completed after 16 years
Enthusiasts have completed work on the Mental Omega extension for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2.
They worked on it for more than 15 years. About a hundred missions and a new Foehn Revolt faction have been added to the game — the AI-controlled side.
Red Alert 2: Mental Omega first appeared on the ModDB website 16 years ago. And since then, the team has periodically released updates. The last one was in 2016. Now, with update number 3.3.6, the work is completely completed.
In Red Alert 2: Mental Omega, you can play as the Soviets, Allies, Yuri and Foehn Revolt. The game has 133 missions, 36 cards for co-op mode and 22 cards for honing skills. Improved graphics, new units, multiplayer via CnCNet, as well as new music.
Glad to see so many #MentalOmega players online after the latest update. Multiplayer alone reached a peak of 1251 today - that's a new record. Thanks for playing!#CommandAndConquer #RedAlert2 pic.twitter.com/P8ZPVBqzJY

The extension is very popular. The project designer stated that a few days ago there were 1251 players in the game at the same time.
