"Avengers" didn't take off - Square Enix lost millions of dollars on Marvel's Avengers
Square Enix lost millions of dollars on Marvel's Avengers project.

This was reported by analyst David Gibson, who reviewed the latest documentation on the company's financial activities.

Square Enix did not specify how many copies of Marvel's Avengers have been able to sell so far, but noted that the game sold 40% below expectations during the launch period. It soon began to drop rapidly in the charts.

Gibson writes that the budget of Marvel's Avengers is estimated to exceed $100 million, and sales of the development of Crystal Dynamics since its release on all platforms combined have barely reached the mark of 3 million copies. For comparison, the PlayStation 4-exclusive "spider-Man" from Insomniac Games sold more than 3 million copies in just three days.

Earlier, the creators of" the Avengers " reported that they are working on a plan to return people to the game. In 2021, they will release new content.
