Devil May Cry 5 for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will still get 4K mode and 60 FPS

Capcom confirmed today on the ResetEra forum that the re-release of Devil May Cry 5 for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will be playable in 4K at 60 FPS without ray tracing.

Devil May Cry 5 for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will still get 4K mode and 60 FPS, but without rays.

This option will be available in addition to the three others previously reported.

Among the alternative modes announced:

  • 4K and 30 FPS with ray tracing;
  • 1080p and 60 FPS with ray tracing;
  • Up to 120 FPS without ray tracing.

In addition to increased resolution, frame rate, and ray tracing, Devil May Cry 5 for new consoles will offer faster downloads, a playable version of Virgil, a turbo mode with accelerated gameplay, and a new difficulty level that increases the number of opponents. PlayStation 5 owners will also get support for the tactile features of the DualSense gamepad and raytracing at the start, while on the Xbox Series X ray tracing will appear later with a separate patch.

On PC and current consoles, only the playable Virgil will appear out of all the announced features. It will be added as a paid DLC.

The release of Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition for Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 will take Place in digital format simultaneously with the launch of new consoles. Disk versions will go on sale on december 1.
