Radeon RX 6000 - high performance in 4K: AMD showed what the new flagship video card is capable of in games
At the end of yesterday's presentation on the Ryzen 5000 Series desktop processors based on the Zen 3 architecture, AMD also paid a little attention to the new flagship Radeon RX 6000 series video card, codenamed Big Navi.
Speaking on stage, the company's CEO Lisa su showed a live sample of the new graphics accelerator and showed a slide with the map performance in the shooters Borderlands 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Gears 5.
Game tests of the video card were paired with the Ryzen 9 5900X processor at the maximum graphics settings in a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The highest result was shown by Modern Warfare, where the frame rate was 88 FPS, Gears 5 worked at 73 FPS, and in Borlderlands 3, the graphics accelerator gave an average of 61 FPS.
The official announcement of the Radeon RX 6000 Series with the disclosure of the exact characteristics and cost will take place at the end of this month, on October 28. As previously announced, one of the main features of the next-generation AMD GPU is support for ray tracing.
