The developers of the remake of Dead Space have started creating a new AAA game with an emphasis on the plot
It seems that EA Motive studio, currently busy with the upcoming remake of Dead Space, is working on another project with a strong focus on the plot.
Media journalists have unearthed two interesting vacancies on the Electronic Arts website.
The team needs a narrative director and a gameplay designer for a certain game. Motive Montreal invites potential candidates to "join an exciting new project in the early stages of development, where history plays a central role."
The gameplay designer, in turn, "will focus on the combat system and artificial intelligence in the AAA game, which is at an early stage of development."
Of course, the above described easily forms the basis of Dead Space, but in this case, Motive would directly indicate that fresh forces were needed to develop this particular game. The phrase "at an early stage of development" also raises doubts, whereas, according to rumors, a remake has been created since July 2020.
The new Dead Space is being created for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. The game is made by EA Motive studio under the guidance of game director of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla Eric Baptizata.
