The mode was developed by Vince Zampella's Ripple Effect Studios team and will allow players to create their own matches based on maps, weapons and vehicles from Battlefield 2042 and past parts of the series (Battlefield 3, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 1942), as well as combine them in various ways.

The designer will use the web browser interface, and the presence of the shooter itself is not necessary to work with it. After creating a match, you can share it with your friends, and if they have a game, they will be able to launch a fight made according to your rules.

In the latest video, the authors presented updated versions of a number of classic maps, including Battle of the Bulge, El Alamein, Valparaiso, Arica Harbor, Noshahr Canals and Caspian Border, and also showed several examples of unique scenarios that will allow the mode to be implemented, including battles using modern technology and gadgets at locations during World War II.

Portal mode will be available immediately at the start. The shooter is released on November 19. Buyers of Gold and Premium editions, as well as EA Play Pro subscribers will be able to start playing from November 12. At the same time, access to the 10-hour trial version of the game will open for users of EA Play, Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
