Focusing on Stadia’s future, and winding down internal development team
The SG&E gaming division will be closed, releasing only the nearest projects, and Jade Raymond will leave the corporation.
Most employees will be reassigned to other positions within the company in the coming months due to the closure of studios in Montreal and California.
Google changed the development model for Stadia, focusing on finding content among third-party developers and publishers, and no longer plans to create their own games.
With the recent successful launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on Stadia, gameplay across all device types, YouTube and global expansion, it's clear that Stadia technology has proven its worth.
Apparently, the company no longer plans to release exclusive games for Stadia, but will continue to support the service. Along with this, Google will offer its technology to publishers and remains committed to creating the best platform for gamers.
Platform users will continue to play all of their games on Stadia and Stadia Pro, and more games will continue to be added to the platform.
