Huawei together with the brand of sunglasses Gentle Monster presented a collection of smart glasses Eyewear II. Their range includes both models for vision correction and sun protection — but with advanced features.
The Huawei × Gentle Monster Eyewear II smart glasses feature an ultra-thin wide-amplitude semi-open speaker that provides stereo sound-according to the manufacturer, clear under any external conditions. In addition, the device has a personal assistant function with quick access to various information and a gesture control system.
With certain touches on the shackles, the user can pair with a mobile device, activate the voice assistant, switch a song, and adjust the volume. Interestingly, the glasses have several scenarios of behavior. For example, if the user removed them, the music stops playing.
According to Huawei, the device works without charging in music playback mode for up to 5 hours. It is noteworthy that the glasses are equipped with NFC-based contactless fast charging technology.
The arms of the Huawei × Gentle Monster Eyewear II are made of titanium and plastic, and the fastening loops are made of elastic titanium material. The companies listened to feedback from users of the first generation of smart glasses and increased the bend of the arm from 12 to 20 degrees to increase the comfort of wearing.
