Sony has announced a launch line of media apps for PlayStation 5
On the day of the launch of the PS5 console, many applications will be available to users.

On the day the console is launched, users will have access to:

  • Apple TV
  • Disney+
  • Netflix
  • Spotify
  • Twitch
  • YouTube

All the services listed above, with the exception of Apple TV, which will also appear on the PS4, are already available to users of the current console. In the future, the list will be updated and expand its applications for the PlayStation 5, in particular, Amazon Prime Video, MyCanal, Hulu, Peacock and others are already preparing.

Sony also filled in another point from the recent presentation of the PlayStation 5 interface: all media applications will have a dedicated space on a separate tab on the home screen, and users will no longer need to go to the PS Store to download the necessary services. All of them will be available directly from there.

Along with the PS5, a new Media Remote will go on sale for easier control of the console's entertainment capabilities.
