The biggest update: The trailer of the new patch for DOOM Eternal with Horde mode and other surprises
Bethesda Softworks and id Software studio showed a teaser trailer for the satanic update 6.66 for the DOOM Eternal shooter.
The update, which the developers call "the largest free add-on", will add the Horde Mode arcade mode to the game, where it is necessary to repel the attacks of waves of demons and try to score as many points as possible. Among other innovations, there will be a redesigned Battle mode 2.0 with a new Fortress arena, an improved matchmaking system and awards for a series of victories, as well as two new master levels ("Spear of the World" and "Core of Mars").
The authors did not disclose the full list of patch details and promise to surprise players with "at least a couple of surprises." What else the new update will bring with it will be possible to find out on the day of its release, October 26.
DOOM Eternal is available on all current platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia. In the summer, the game was updated for a new generation of consoles with support for ray tracing, 4K and 120 FPS.
