The film Metro 2033 will be directed by the director of Avanpost - the first details and the new release date of the film adaptation
The Russian organization Cinema Foundation held a face-to-face defense of the projects of the leaders of domestic cinema, in which the first details about the upcoming film adaptation of Metro 2033 were revealed.

The director of the film based on the script of the author of the original novel Dmitry Glukhovsky will be Yegor Baranov, who shot "Gogol" and "Outpost" (Avanpost). Valery Fedorovich, Evgeny Nikishov and Ivan Golomovzyuk are appointed as producers.
They plan to spend 700 million rubles on the picture and invest another 150 million in marketing. To recapture the costs forecast fees in the region of 1.5 billion rubles.
The first version of the script is already ready, and preparations for filming will begin in December. The Moscow Metro will provide assistance in organizing production. Also, developers from the studio 4A Games, who created the game trilogy "Metro 2033", can join the work.
Official synopsis:
"Twenty years after the nuclear apocalypse, the last survivors are hiding in the tunnels of the Moscow metro-the largest anti-nuclear bomb shelter on earth. Artyom, a twenty-year-old boy from VDNKh, will have to go through a dangerous path through the entire metro to save not only his native station, but also to warn humanity about a new deadly threat."
The release of the tape was originally supposed to take place on January 1, 2022, but now the calculation is to be in time for January 1, 2024.
The film Outpost (Avanpost) won a great rating at the Russian box office and aroused the confidence of the majority of viewers. Rather, this was the reason to take the director to the film adaptation of the film "Metro 2033" which gives hope for a very well-thought-out script, details of special effects and many other factors that will appeal to the moviegoer.
