Blizzard talked about the upcoming rating mode Diablo II: Resurrected
The creators of Diablo II: Resurrected talked about the upcoming 2.4 update, with which a rating game will finally appear in the remaster.
As in the original, it will include four modes:
- Standard - normal rating game mode with the passage of four acts of the campaign;
- Heroic — the passage of four acts of the campaign with one life;
- Standard + add-on — the usual rating game mode with the passage of five acts of the campaign, including the content of the Lord of Destruction add-on;
- Heroic + Add-on is a regular rating game mode with the passage of five campaign acts, including the content of the Lord of Destruction add-on, with one life.
Players participating in rating modes will discover unique rune words that cannot be used in unrated mode. And the rating season, according to current estimates, will last four months.
At the end of the rating season, the characters who have compiled unique words from runes will switch to the unrated game mode. In the next rating season, players will have to create new characters and start earning new rewards, developing from the very beginning.
Update 2.4 will appear on the Diablo II: Resurrected test server early next year. The patch will also change the balance of classes and implement other improvements, which are written on the developers website.
