Gamers boycott S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and urge Valve to remove the game because of NFT

Trend towards using NFT leads to two consequences. On the one hand, blockchain can enrich developers quite well, and on other hand, it can set gamers up against companies and Stalker 2.

It was the second story that happened to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl — it would seem that one of the most anticipated projects is not that of recent times, but decades.

After GSC Game World announced special tokens for in-game items and "metahumans", gamers staged a real riot in the comments. The content of the latter, if you put obscene language in separate messages out of brackets, boils down to the thesis "I lost interest and cancel the pre-order", as well as Valve's call to remove the shooter from Steam.

Recall that the company has banned projects using NFT tokens on the platform. And although S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 itself is not based on blockchain, and the items, according to GSC, will not affect the gameplay, there is still a chance of removing the game from Steam.

However, developers will probably be accepted into the Epic Games Store without any problems.
