Creators of the dark fantasy shooter Witchfire showed a new gameplay of the game
Studio Astronauts released several new short videos with a demonstration of gameplay of Witchfire shooter. The videos were published in a new development report.
The authors noted that the production of the game is moving well and one of the goals achieved was to hold the first playtest among colleagues from the industry, which allowed the team to determine the appropriate level of difficulty.
"Witchfire should be a challenging game, but we've been doing it for so long that we can't be objective about its complexity. Developers have a natural tendency to make their games complex because they know all their systems from the inside out and play them every day. So if a project is difficult for the creators, it's usually twice as difficult for the players... until the playtests show this and everything is properly rebalanced for the final release."
For the past two months, the team has also been actively engaged in improving the lighting. In a blog post, the studio explained that the playtest allowed them to identify and fix some lighting problems, but work in this direction is still not completed, and many things still need to be finalized.
It's too early to say when Witchfire will be released. According to the studio, there is still a lot of work ahead.
