Six models will go on sale. The junior Intel Core i5-12600K with 10 cores, 16 threads, operating frequency up to 4.9 GHz is estimated at $290. The version without integrated graphics (12600KF) costs $265. The chip does not support Intel Turbo Boost Max 3.0 technology.
A feature of the models is the combination of productive cores "P" (from the word Perfomance) and energy-efficient "E" (Efficient). The former are designed to work with single-threaded and low-threaded processes, while demonstrating a 19% increase compared to the previous generation of Rocket Lake, and the latter are optimized for scaling multithreaded loads using Thread Director technology designed to track and analyze performance data in real time.
A 12-core 20-thread Intel Core i7-12700K with a frequency of up to 5 GHz costs $410. Without graphics — $385. Finally, the 16-core 24-line flagship Intel Core i9-12900K will cost $590. Without UHD Graphics 770 — $565. 12900K in games 8-30% faster than AMD Ryzen 9 5950X.
Sales of the new line of processors will start on November 4.
