Mini-bosses and character leveling: The new gameplay of The Ascent action game for Xbox Series X|S
Game Informer has published a fresh 13-minute demo of The Ascent gameplay - an isometric action role-playing game in the cyberpunk setting, developed by the Swedish studio Neon Giant.
In the new video, the developers showed skirmishes with ordinary opponents and mini-bosses in two locations (sewer and city), and also paid a little attention to the pumping system, which will affect not only the abilities and skills, but also the appearance of the character.
According to the plot of the project, the megacorporation The Ascent Group, which owns everything and everything, suddenly collapses. Confusion and chaos reigned around, security and order collapsed, and security is now the fate of everyone personally. Players will have to stop the actions of gangs and hostile corporations and find out what really happened. At the same time, it supports both single-player and co-op play in a team of up to four players locally or via the Internet.
The Ascent will launch on July 29 as an Xbox console exclusive and will be available with a Game Pass subscription from the first day of release.
