According to the authors' assurances, Operation: Black Mesa will include Blue Shift and Opposing Force companies, supplemented with completely new and original content. At the same time, the visual part of the project is based on the latest version of the Source engine.

Among the key features of the future Tripmine Studios shooter are a completely original soundtrack, over three dozen types of enemies, an arsenal of eighteen types of weapons, support for custom modifications, as well as various references to the plot elements of later releases of the Half-Life universe.

Operation: Black Mesa has been in development for several years with the approval of Valve.
