British Commando vs German Wehrmacht-the first details of the Commandos: Origins strategy
The new part of the Commandos series has got the first details and an official name. The information was published on the website of the German Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, which gave the developers a state grant in the amount of 1.5 million euros.
The project is called Commandos: Origins and is created by the internal studio of Kalypso Media-Claymore Game Studios. This will be an isometric tactical strategy, the events of which will unfold in the first half of the Second World War and will tell about the newly formed British commando unit performing operations against the German Wehrmacht.
The games will take control of a group of different fighters with their own unique abilities and rely on strategic decisions to achieve their goals in missions that cover real-world locations and operations.
Commandos: Origins is announced for the PC, Xbox and PlayStation platforms, while it is indicated that the production funding will last until November 30, 2022, which implies a release no earlier than 2023.
